Maintenance
1) Keep out of direct sun and heat.
Never leave instruments in a car; they can heat up to 120 degrees F and the glue will melt. Do not leave instruments near a fireplace or heater.2) Keep within a certain humidity.
Avoid dry climates. Rapid changes in humidity, or low humidity, cause the wood to crack.3) Do not use cleansers.
Chemicals may harm the finish. If instruments appear to need polishing or cleaning contact us for information, as different finishes require different products. In general, however, polishing should not be necessary.4) Store in a safe place.
Keep the instrument where pets and children won't knock it over, but where it is still convenient to play.5) Tune properly and frequently.
Maintain a tuning within the range of A=440-443.
