Rental Policy and Procedure

When you visit our office, we will ask you about your intent and goal in renting an instrument.  What style of music are you interested in playing?  For example, different styles of harps are employed for Celtic than for classical.  Will this be a family instrument, or for just one person?  Have you any prior musical knowledge or experience, and if so, what?  Questions such as these will allow us to get to know a client's musical interests so that we can use our own knowledge to make your experience as enjoyable as possible.

We will play a selection of songs for you on the different harps so you can hear the differences in sound quality, projection, and tone.  As with living organisms, each instrument has its own voice; no two are identical.  We will also give a free first lesson in proper posture and playing technique, finishing with teaching a simple tune.  You will have private time to choose an instrument, and will be asked to sign our policy.  We will show you how to properly pack and transport the instrument, and how to tune it.

We rent only to students who have been referred by a teacher in the Central Texas area. We personally know instructors in College Station, San Antonio, Houston, and the Dallas/Ft Worth area.
